Story of Community Street Art Ahmedabad: How It All Started
Become a member today
Imagine this place: Heart of the city, a drab and dreary street corner, a faded and worn public bus stand.
Would you visit such a place? No, right?
This corner inspired a band of enthusiasts – who were passionate about their city – to brighten up the street corner with a splash of color and creativity. Armed with brushes and cans of paint, they got to work. For hours, they painted and sketched, adding vibrant colors and intricate designs to the once-dull bus stand.
As they worked, some stopped to watch, others were intrigued by what was happening, while a few even joined in, eager to contribute their ideas and talents to the project. By the time they were finished, the bus stand was transformed with an art that brightened up the entire street corner.
This one-of-a-kind masterpiece has never failed to bring a smile to a passerby.
A small initiative by a group is a symbol of community spirit and creativity. It demonstrates that a spark can light a fire, all it needs is a little bit of effort and the right amount of enthusiasm.
This incident was a prelude to the idea of Community Street Art.
